Smart phones come in all sizes now and the craze can now be seen cruising at high speeds in the international markets. Samsung has been riding high on their smart phone series and their success story is heavily dependent on their market strategy of getting established in all the segments.

The android phone has become very famous with the youth and the entry level is what most of the brands started focusing on since a year or two. Getting an affordable smart phone with android platform meant that they people should be getting all the basic facilities without getting a hole burnt in their pockets.

This is not quite an easy job but Samsung took the best step among all the brands and came up with the tail Enders of its galaxy series. The galaxy Y is a phone which has been made targeting the youth and the phone is coming now at an unbelievable price bracket.

The Samsung Galaxy Y is an entry level smart phone which comes in a tight budget so one should not be expecting very high from this device. Samsung has done a wonderful job of giving a smart phone at this range but has had to make certain compromises which the youth hardly notices.

The phone is a beauty and goes on with the usual candy bar shape as the rest of the galaxy phones. The best feature of the phone is that it comes with the tested and successful gingerbread OS from android and give one an access to the millions of apps that one can find in the online market. The performance of the phone is decent and the 832 MHz processor is quite zippy but one should not push it to the limits with multi tasking as one might just find the limits.

Samsung has made a little compromise with the device in matters of the display as one can see that the 3.2 inch TFT screen gets a bit grainy at certain angles and is not the best when it comes to graphics. It has a decent performing 3 MP camera and a flash is missed dearly on this phone. It has all the required sensors which include the accelerometer as well as the compass which have its own share of applications on a smart phone. Now the Samsung galaxy y is available in a dual SIM option too in the markets.
